Berber rugs are made by women of the Berber tribes. The main raw material for these rugs is the wool of a very particular sheep, a breed characterized by its small size and great robustness. The making of the rug requires great expertise passed down from generation to generation, as well as a lot of patience.
The care of a Berber rug begins with how it is cleaned. It is necessary to vacuum regularly and as gently as possible. It is best to use a vacuum cleaner with a soft nozzle to avoid damaging it. In case of a stain, you can use baking soda before vacuuming again.
Our custom-made rugs are manufactured using an artisanal process: each knot is hand-woven, one by one. Once the weaving is complete, the rug is washed, then left to air dry, under the mild and dry climate of Morocco. This process takes time, but it guarantees a high-quality product, made with respect for traditions.
